Jurupa Valley residents will be able to leave unused or expired prescription pills at a drop-off box at a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department office.

The Healthy Jurupa Valley Coalition will celebrate the start of the program, aimed at lowering prescription pill abuse, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday, Sept. 6.

All prescription drugs, including for pets, can be left in the box which will be in the main lobby of the sheriff’s office at 7477 Mission Boulevard in Jurupa Valley during normal business hours.
