Leave a Legacy of Compassion with Planned Giving
Inland Empire communities are growing stronger every day thanks to the investment of former and current residents. When you support Reach Out, you support the programs that help strengthen the youth, families and communities in your own neighborhood. Planned giving is an excellent way to leave a legacy of compassion that benefits your children and grandchildren as they come of age, pursue education and careers and build lasting bonds with the people who matter the most in their lives.
Planned giving allows you to make your charitable donation go further in the community without compromising your ability to provide for your heirs or yourself. There are two types of planned giving that are designed to help you maximize your charitable contribution while living within your means:
Tax Deductible Bequest Donations
A bequest donation allows you to make a future gift from your estate through planned giving. Inland Empire programs supported by Reach Out benefit by receiving a pre-determined commitment from your estate, while the rest goes towards your inheritance or another purpose of your choosing. Meanwhile, you retain control of your assets during your lifetime, allowing you to modify your planned giving if your circumstances change.
Tax Deductible Charitable Gift Annuity
Charitable gift annuities occur when you transfer cash, securities or property to a non-profit organization and receive a guaranteed income for life. These fixed payments are administered to you or another party of your choosing. Your charitable gift annuity allows you to take an immediate tax deduction and gives you the satisfaction of knowing that your support is being put to good use as soon as possible.
These are just a few of the ways you can support Reach Out through planned giving. Inland Empire donors who choose to make a non-profit donation to Reach Out will be advised by one of our donation experts who can help you plan your contribution in a way that is advantageous for both your estate and your community. Oftentimes, the tax benefits from making a charitable donation are such that your heirs are left with nearly the same amount that they would have received had you not chosen to give. In this way, you can ensure that your legacy benefits those who are close to your heart and within your community.
