NOTICE: Beginning July 1, 2022, the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) law mandates that establishments cannot employ or continue to employ any alcohol server without valid alcohol server certification.
Bartenders, waiters, and managers who are Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) Certified are more successful in stopping underage drinking and in recognizing the signs of intoxication.
About Us
Reach Out is an ABC accredited RBS training provider and has provided certification training since 2011. Our trainings are all in person and we have trainers in our organization who have 20+ years of alcohol compliance and enforcement in the field and in criminal and administration courtrooms. The largest difference between our program and online programs is, there is a real instructor to answer questions students have about their job. This can make a huge difference between being in compliance or receiving a citation.
Where are trainings offered?
Our trainings are held at our offices in Upland, Jurupa Valley or Yucca Valley. We also offer off site trainings that can be scheduled at your business establishments.
Who should take the mandatory RBS training?
An alcohol server includes anyone who does any of the following:
- Checks customer identification for purposes of alcoholic beverage service or entry to an ABC on-premises licensed establishment;
- Takes customer alcoholic beverage orders;
- Pours alcoholic beverages for customers; or
- Delivers alcoholic beverages to customers.
How long is the training?
Our course is 4.5 hours and provides materials to help you pass your RBS Mandatory State Test.
